About Northlight
Northlight started as a personal record of what I wish someone had told me earlier in my career: why solid work doesn't always speak for itself, why some colleagues get heard more easily than others regardless of the quality of their ideas, and what changed once I started treating communication as a skill to practise rather than a trait you either have or don't.
It isn't a coaching business, a training provider, or a professional advice service. It's a personal account, published as an advertorial — meaning some of the content includes paid recommendations for products I've used myself, most notably an online communication course. Where that happens, it's clearly disclosed, both at the top of the page and next to the relevant link.
I write for one specific reader: someone who feels their work is genuinely good, but suspects it isn't landing the way it should in meetings, reviews or written updates — and would rather learn from someone else's experience than repeat the same mistakes from scratch.
